The CEO of Salo IoT Campus, Jukka Vakula, will step down from his position on September 19, 2021. Kirsi Borg has been appointed as the acting CEO of the company starting from September 20, 2021.
Kirsi Borg is a highly experienced professional in the real estate sector. She has worked for several years as a developer on various projects and sees significant potential for growth and further development at Salo IoT Campus. Vakula is moving on to a new project and leaves his role as CEO with confidence: “The initial phases of campus development have been completed, and I can proudly hand over one of Finland's best campuses to the next CEO.'"
"In the past four years as CEO have been dynamic and exciting. I extend my thanks to all the campus customers, the board, owners, service providers, and all colleagues," stated Vakula. "I know that the campus will continue to be developed by top professionals, and Kirsi Borg is exactly the right person to implement new ideas and plans."

Jukka Vakula has worked as the CEO of Salo IoT Campus since its founding year. Chairman of the Board Petri Olkinuora thanks Jukka on behalf of the entire board and owners for the past years.
Vakula, who is moving on to new responsibilities, firmly believes in the campus's future as a hub for generating new innovations: "The campus has excellent customers and all the opportunities to continue developing. Salo IoT Campus will also play a significant role among innovation campuses in the future."
Vakula extends his best wishes to the entire campus team, service providers, partners, and customers for the future. "I will certainly continue to follow the developments at the campus, and I believe we will hear more about successes in the near future," Vakula encourages.
