The filming of the highly anticipated new C More original series, "Made in Finland – The Story of Nokia," begins next week. Some scenes will be shot at the Salo IoT Campus, in Nokia's former premises. This drama series is based on true events and depicts near-miss situations during the early steps of a global success story. The series is written and directed by Maarit Lalli and features an impressive lineup of some of the most intriguing actors of the moment.
Made in Finland – The Story of Nokia" is a captivating tale of Nokia's first steps towards global success. This C More original series centers on young and resourceful lawyers, brilliant engineers, and a forward-thinking leader, whose courage saved the entire company. The drama series is written and directed by Jussi Award-winning Maarit Lalli, who has conducted extensive research into Nokia's history over several years.
"Behind Nokia's peak success lie many untold human stories. Tales of people whose passion for their work made success possible. A miracle was born, and the world was conquered, but behind the scenes, there were also losses and moments of despair. It has been 30 years since the first GSM phone. Those involved now have enough distance from the history to speak freely about it," describes the series' writer-director, Maarit Lalli.
The filming of the series "Made in Finland" will begin next week in Oulu, followed by shoots in Helsinki and Salo until mid-summer. After the summer, filming will continue into the fall. The six-part drama series will premiere on the C More streaming service in spring 2022. The series is produced for C More and MTV by Rabbit Films and Aurora Studios. In addition to MTV and C More, the series is financed by the Finnish Impact Film Fund.

The series features some of the most intriguing actors of the moment. The main roles are played by Satu-Tuuli Karhu, Emil Kihlström, Aku Sipola, Oona Airola, and Sampo Sarkola.
